A lovely shrub with gracefully arching branches. The small, pink flowers are followed by showy, iridescent, purple berries in autumn. Cardinals, robins, and other birds enjoy the edible berries.
Japanese Beauty Berry is a good hedge plant. To increase fruiting, prune it back hard in late winter. Or let it grow naturally as a graceful, arching shrub. Hardy in zones 5-8.
