Similar to Japanese Beautyberry, except that this one is native to the U.S. It is a vigorous shrub with gracefully arching branches that provide good wildlife cover and food.
The fruits of American Beautyberry are edible and can be made into jam or syrup. Or leave them for the birds to eat in the winter. Hardy in zones 6-10.

Sowing Beautyberry Seeds:
Sow outdoors in a cold frame, or sow indoors in winter. Barely cover the seeds, then refrigerate for 6 weeks. Full sun to part shade.
