This new calendula is advertised as being pink, but it's really more of a pale apricot color with a pink blush and a darker reverse. The flowers are pinker in cool weather. The double flowers have small, pointed petals, giving them an interesting look.
Calendula 'Zeolights' is a versatile plant. I let it self sow around the garden, making pleasing combinations with the roses, perennials and annuals. The color fits in surprisingly well with most of my color schemes.
Sowing Calendula Seeds:
Sow outdoors in early spring to summer, 1/4" deep. Or sow indoors 4-6 weeks early. Thin to 9" apart. Full sun. Easy to grow. Self sows.
