Aquilegia vulgaris 'Magpie'

Aquilegia 'Magpie' is a striking columbine with purplish-black and white flowers on tall stems. It's an old-fashioned looking variety that goes well with cool color schemes. Try it with Allium 'Purple Sensation' and Iberis gibraltarica.

Aquilegia vulgaris 'Magpie' prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. But it can tolerate drier conditions. Also known as Aquilegia vulgaris 'William Guinness'.

Deer resistant. Hardy perennial in zones 4-9.

Sowing Aquilegia 'Magpie' Seeds
