This lovely hyssop is native to Mexico and the southwestern United States. The lavender-purple flowers appear in summer to fall, and the mint-green leaves have a strong, lemony-licorice fragrance.
Agastache neomexicana is only hardy in zones 5/6-10. But it blooms so quickly that it can be grown as an annual elsewhere. Give it a warm spot with full sun and well-drained soil. Also known as New Mexico Hummingbird Mint.
