This is the red form of the common wildflower, Achillea millefolium. It produces clusters of red flowers for most of the summer. The ferny leaves are attractive.
Red yarrow is a vigorous, spreading perennial that attracts beneficial insects and butterflies. It grows especially well in sandy soil. Hardy in zones 3-9.
